wow looks like a very nice detailed one , would love to see some closeups :smitten:

This is about the best I could do with the iPhone , I didn't go crazy trying to clean , just brushed it lightly with a soft brush

:shocked03: That is a beautiful coin. The color and detail are great. Are you in NY state? Our coppers here in CT don't look like that :daydream:

Nice Geo II copper  Sometimes you get some good drainage or good ground conditions and they survive the elements. Nice early date :clapping:

NY , ya most of my coppers are shot , I have about a dozen that are smooth , all from cornfield's but that one I found in a yard !!

:congrats: Nice Copper ! Good thing you didn't over clean it. The Patina should hold the detail nicely. You might want to put some Renaissance Wax on it also to prevent it from corroding and it will shine it up a little also. Other than that, I would just leave it be. Like Drew said, they rarely look that good, especially the Obverse . |:cheering:

Those old farm fields give up some beauties, and that KG is proof. Congrats on a truly awesome find |:cheering:
