Well when I got up this morning I knew I was going to go hunt. I could go to the rental property and be pretty sure of finding some keepers. Or, I could go back to the old house in the woods and take my chances. To the woods we go! The first picture is the road that leads to the house. Just a typical Mississippi dirt rd. Ya'll come visit, ya hear! Hahaha. [attachimg=1] Got to the gate and got turned around, now we walk about a 1/4 mile. [attachimg=2] Finally got to the house. [attachimg=3][attachimg=4] Didn't find much. Some clad, 1 wheat, 1942, and the whistle. Whistle seems to be made of brass. Actually found it hanging inside what was left of a small shed behind the house. Also found, Ticks, chiggers, and snake skins! Quite an adventure, but not much to show. Looking forward to a nice, clean yard to hunt! HH all.

I know you can't wait to hit a nice clean homeowners property. What a site, but good for you on the gumpshion for actually hunting the old site.

Are you sure that's a road? :thinkingabout: lol

Nice finds -- looks like an old hotwheel car too.

Definatly an adventure!

That's one thing I do not miss about detecting down south......chiggars.......also sea ticks (very tiny ticks that look like tiny spots....but itch so bad you want to crawl out of your skin)
