Thought I Found the Mother Lode!

Steve and I hit our favorite woods Saturday morning. This spot has given up many silvers and a few colonial coppers. I got a mixed signal at 4 inches and dug, thats when a saw the clasp of a coin purse :drool:. I could see coins pressing against the decaying fabric :twirlingeyes:. All clad >:/. Was a nice day to be out and a fun team hunt. HH all ::usaflag::

I found the clasp of a coin purse once. Thats as close as I've gotten to a purse. :crying02: So clad is better than nothing.

Wow, the reality of it all is that clad has been around long enough to rot a dropped coin purse. mg: I remember the day I got my first shiny new clad coin. I was twelve and I was trying to fill a full set of Rosies and I thought boy these clad coins are really nice! :shocked04:verreaction:

about 30 years ago i also found a small coin purse as luck would have it mine had about 20 indian heads 1 large cent and a 1856 half dime everyone of them had been holed so i do know how you felt its still a great find next time you just never know good luck and congrats on a wonderful find dennis
