Todays Hunt 2-5-2012!

CODY

Well the rain finally broke. Went back to the old Ag school site today. To start with....clad, clad, clad. I finally just quit digging pennies. I'll go back and get them later. $4.50 in quarters, $3.30 in dimes, 48 pennies and 2 nickels. $8.38 total. The large Dinosaur coin......almost gave me a heart attack! People should not drop these kind of things for us old people to find. Its not good for our health. Thought it was a silver dollar when I turned the plug over. Its the same size. A nice Mississippi Sales Tax Token. This is the best one I have found yet. They are generally pretty well ate up. 4 wheats, 1951-D and 3 that were toast. The round silver looking thing I'm pretty sure is junk jewlery. And last but not least. Two silvers. 1943 Merc. and a 1963-D Rosie. That makes 12 silvers I have pulled out of this site so far. Hey, thanks for looking and HH to all.

The large Dinosaur coin......almost gave me a heart attack!

lol...we've all dug up big tokens or things that make the heart fibrillate when we first lay our eyes upon them....then reality sets in and the ticker goes back to normal rythm

Congrats on the two silver dimes and other cool finds, Cody! :clapping:

I hope the next large silver coin you find has Lady Liberty on the front instead of a dinosaur!

Nice digs, good job! :happydance01:

Very nice hunt CODY. :peace: Lots of nice keepers... especially the Merc and Rosie.

I've had 5 heart stoppers with those dinosaur coins. As I am sure you noticed they also have a reeded edge. :hairpulling: lol
When I dug my first one and realized it wasn't big silver... I remembered exactly what it was. They came from the Cocoa Pebbles cereal boxes a while ago. I remember collecting them as a kid. lol

Congrats on the hunt.
