Hooked up with Sqrll29 & Theola for a late morning morning hunt yesterday. We hunted for about 6 hours. The first place we went to was a place Theola and I hunted twice last year. We did good there last year. The home owner said we could hunt for 2 hours before she had to leave. Today started off with a bang! Within the first 10 mins Theola found a worn seated quarter! :shocked04: And later a 1914 buff. About a hour and a half into the hunt I got a sweet 12-47 at only 3 inches. I was thinking it must be a new drop clad quarter(pretty tall grass). There's no way we missed this signal under this big tree last year. \:hammer: I flipped the plug over to find a nice vintage sterling silver Boy Scout ring! <:

:thinkingabout: I think it's a size 7  lol

After our time was up we went looking for another place to hunt for a few more hours. We spotted a old house for sale and went and knocked on the door and the lady said Go ahead. thumbsup01 Besides the 3 Wheaties I found at the first house, I was able to find 9 more at the new place. Some nice early one too  Of course the always present 1944's and 1919 too  lol

Awesome hunt, those tokens are super sweet!
Thanks Angie & Darren |) I like the old trade tokens as much if not more than....some of the old coins. Like the wheaties lol

Congrats on 12 wheaties. Those tokens are cool looking and Theola's seated quarter is a fantastic find. That ring looks like a real chunk of silver

Super stuff Tim, great looking ring, I found a Brownies ring similar to that of course smaller. Tokens are cool too. Congrats on a great hunt!

Wow! That ring is awesome! Great find, Tim, as are those tokens. :happydance01: And the early wheat cents are sweet too. I see you even have a 1917-S. :smitten:

Yeah I just wish the 1914 had a D on it! lol

Love your finds here Tim. :smitten:
No wonder why I haven't been finding any tokens around here lately... you are getting them all.
I'd love to add a ring like that to my collection, it is a great one for sure.
Great post and congrats.

That ring is a big hunk of silver! I found a similar sterling silver Cub Scout ring but it is smaller. I wonder what years those rings were made?

Nice tokens too! I especially love tokens that are from Illinois!

Nice hunt! :clapping:
