The year 2016 was kind of an "off" year for me, metal detecting-wise. I didn't get out much and this really shows in my silver totals. However, sometimes quality is better than quantity and I was able to make some decent finds in my infrequent outings. I even found a bucket list item, my first "fatty" Indian Head Cent.
It was really strange that I found 1 Seated Quarter, 2 Barber Quarters and 3 SLQs but only one silver Washington quarter. Not that I'm complaining!

I am looking forward to 2017. I should be able to get out more this year. The tough part is finding sites to hunt. Since I moved here in October of 2015 I am slowly becoming more familiar with the area and its history. My brother has several promising sites lined up for the spring, and I hope to take a road trip or two as well.
