Managed two hunts this weekend. The first at my site I have been clearing for a while as good keepers are hard to find amongst the trash. Found an 1889 V Nickel for my first coin of the day, then came my first Indian of the year an 1895.Second hunt was 2hrs and moved to a different part of the park near some old evergreen trees. Found a 47 and 52 Rosie, then a 1942
Mercury dime. Four wheats, 53,54,56,and 194?.Clad=$3.06.Thanks for looking. Thank you to everyone who served in the military, go Blackhawks!

nice group of finds looks like you dig a lot but persistence seems to pay off congrats on your finds dennis :bananadance: :bananadance:

You got some nice oldies there, Rob! |:cheering:

V Nickels from the 1880s are tough to find!

Congrats on your first Indian Head of the year too!

Good job! :clapping:

Thanks Tony, That site is hard work digging through the nails. Mike dug 4 coins that day, two wheats, and indian, and a barber half shot by a bullet that left it mangled....

Indiand and V's are 2 of my favorite coins to find at a park other than silver. Nice group of coins, and of course that dreaded iron!
