I drove up to Wisconsin this morning to do a little door knocking with Noah. It was Hot, but it was fun!
I dug 8 wheats today, but better than that I dug 8 Indians. That ties last years total at 49 FTY. One of the indians is an 1869 which I believe is a semi key date. ( not sure, it's 2:00 in the morning, I'm tired and may have read it wrong )

I Dug 2 Silvers today, a 1900 Barber Half and a 1916 Barber Dime.

For relics, I dug an old saber hook and a 1920, max Factor compact.

I had fun today. it was great to get out dig a few nice old coins.

Geez Don, save a few of those IHs for the rest of us why don't you! What a great day. I'd put up with the heat also if I knew I was gonna dig that haul. The late 1860s/early 1870s IHs are semi-key dates in the series with the 1871/72s quite valuable in good condition. Congrats on your '69 and the big silver. Was that all from one yard?

John

That is a lot of Indians! And ANOTHER Half?!! Man! It's been over 2 years since I dug a half. Congrats!

I dug 5 Indians and the 2 Barbers from one front yard.

How many times did we drive by that house before we decided to ask? :hystericallaugh:Glad he came out to do yard work.
The saber hook is awesome. I got one too a few years ago for the Knights Templar. Have to show it to you sometime.
Gonna be talking about seated all the time now to increase my chances.

Noah,I really think that this works, got my oldest US silver by talking about it.

Don, I would brave the heat to get a haul like yours. Nice 1869 IH and another 1/2. :congrats:

Always have done better when I start off in a positive frame of mind. Seems to work with others tooo!

Nice sword hanger and big silver. That '69 IH looks like a light toothpicking will make it even better around the feathers and lettering.

Incredible hunt, Don! So many wonderful coins and relics! The Barber Half alone would make anyone's day. Add the key date 1869 Indian Head and the sword hanger and it's over-the-top amazing!
