Truffles -For MD'ers of the Pacific Northwest - there may be bonus in your hole

If you live in the Pacific northwest and metal detect in wood environments, like parks and picnic groves with lots of trees you probably have come across little tubers, small odd shaped potato looking things, in the holes you have dug.
Those might have been the Oregon white truffle.

If you are just shoving all the dirt and tubers back in the hole to cover it up after recovering your find you are ignoring a valuable resource. Oregon White truffles sell for big bucks.

It would be beneficial to familiarize yourself about them. Those truffles sell for around $10.00 and ounce or more.
