Got home after work, changed adn then headed to a beach. Lots of people but not lots of targets. My last find while headed to the car was the Merk. It saved teh day. It was BLACK whem I found i, after a couple of good soaks the front is now ok but the back is still icky.

I put a piece of alumin foil with the silver on top of it in a small dish. I pour boiling water over it and add 1 TBS of salt and 2 TBS of baking soda. It will smell like rotten eggs, that is the silver sulfit that turns silver dark reversing. Just keep repeating until it is clean, the more pure the silver the better and faster it works. On commen silver I rub it with the solution when it cools down but not on good finds.
