Unknon Hinge and Egg sized Ox Knob

Forgot my camera today,i took a ride to some open fields where a colonial house stood,me and Dave found many coppers here,i cant believe i missed this hinge it was down about 10 inches,its 13 inches long and 6 inches wide and made of brass,did this hinge go on a wagon or on a door,i never dug an Oxknob this big before its the size of an egg.

hey Gary hinges made or brass or copper were generally used for furniture and are your sure the egg-sized oxknob isn't the ball part of a horse hame instead??
