unknown buttons

found these two buttons today within 20ft of each other on an old town green but i cant identify them.
anyone got any idears ?
there is what looks like latin under the shield and i think it reads EVAINVIE or something ? . there are two lions rampant each side of the shield so im thinking thay could be english ?
