Unknown Connecticut Animal

Scott and I were hunting and came across this thing in a tree. Scott says to me, matter of factly, there's a monkey in the tree. I laugh it off until I see A MONKEY IN THE TREE :shocked04:
This thing was bigger than a woodchuck, about the size of a baby bear, had a 2ft tail, moved slowly, not a long dog like nose...more of a monkey-ish nose.
I tried to video but it didn't come out well.
It is at the bottom of the frame for some of the first 30sec, then I finally got it more centered.
I think we saw a baby big foot! lol lol :shocked01:
Check it out here-
What?

Closest thing may be a woodchuck (land beaver)

Dave, I thought of fishers too but they only get to be 13lbs. Woodchucks can be 31lbs. This one was a MUNSTA I tells ya! I guessed it had a four ft body and a two foot tail.....and teeth about 10in long!! well, actually I didn't see the teeth.
A white faced hornet's nest kept us away from the animal. You know how they can be.

At least you have not lost your sense of humor and adventure in the Dark Woods.
I could sense in the video clip the cameraman's fear just as in the filming of the Blair Witch Project. |:cheering:

I'm glade you guys had a good day in the field, John. :dontknow:

Mutual of ohmaha's wild kingdom rofl lol lol

You're right John, neither of us wanted to go near that thing...we hunted across the street :shocked04:stretcher:

Did I sound like Marlin Perkins Dan? I was going to have Scott (jim) climb up there and bag that beast but he declined.

I agree Rounoutcreek. Is there anything a woodchuck can't do? lol

Slowly I turn...step by step...inch by inch... lol

Something evil is lurking in the woods of Connecticut these days, something ancient and almost forgotten. You can hide your children and lock up your pets, but even then all may be lost. For there is no stopping the fisher cat! Okay, so maybe they aren’t all that bad, but it is true that the fisher cat is back in full force in Connecticut. - See more at: http://www.damnedct.com/beware-the-fisher-cat/#sthash.JPzOzlSx.dpuf

lol If you had heard it scream that would've been hilarious (your reactions) :hysterical:
I bet that was it... I didn't know they lived in N. America....
