unknown pewter axes

They used to put pewter toys in cracker jack boxes. I'm not certain but that is what they could be. It seems kind of crazy today to put childrens toys containing lead in with their food but whatever it was the early 20th century.

Cool finds :thumbsup01: I have found a pewter whistle before, back then they didn't know that lead was poisonous.

early 1700s,there not cracker jacks
I think so too, 1700's or even early 1800's. Toy tools have always been around even in colonial days. Kids are kids  They look a bit crude and that is one thing that makes me lean towards an older date. The date of the cellar hole or place you found it at would give up more clues too.

I agree , it is probably "reused" pewter and was cast to make a child's toy in the early 1800's . its pretty neat how you seem to find these Gary
