V niks and silver

Wasn't too bad today, mid 40s and off and on sun -- keep trying to squeeze one more hunt out of this year.

Went back to the site from Christmas eve where I pulled 2 barbers, and pulled another barber in pretty decent shape happydance02 and a pair of V nickels. These are my first V nickels of the year. This is how old nickels come out of the ground in our neck of the woods -- the 1910 is just normal abuse, the other is totally toast, tho I can make out the V in the back, and the fact that the date ends in an 8.

That Barber Dime more than makes up for the condition of the V Nickels! Wow, it's really sharp! :loveit:

Congrats on the great finds, Randy! :clapping:

I hope you are able to get some more hunts in before the end of the year! thumbsup01

That's a real sharp barber dime! Hard to believe those are the first V nickels for all of the other old coins you have found this year. Congrats on your finds Randy! Good luck getting in a few more hunts!

:shocked03: Wonderful Barber, and the ground is hard on Vs. I have found several this year, and several were worn so smooth that you could make out anything on them, and they are as black as coal. thumbsup01 thumbsup01

Nice... you are still digging up the oldies on December 26th. <:

The Barber is beautiful. :smitten: Any coin being extracted from the dirt this time of year is a bonus... from soft ground makes it even more special. :clapping:

Looking forward to see where your silver count will be. :-> :-> :-> |)
