Vermont hunt #2

Met up with my brother today at 8. Hunted our spot for 4 hours and here is my finds. Draped bust is a tad toasted but its a 1795. The other copper is smooth. Found a sweet little 2 piece button with a little gilt left and a fragment of string still attached. Not to bad for a few hours. Its a place that you could hunt for years. We also discovered a separate field to hunt, a few acres of really tall grass. Not worth it yet. We have barely scratched this place. Until next time...Happy Hunting!!

congrats on the draped bust Tim , check the date again though . I believe draped busts started in 1796 (two types that year liberty caps ended and the draped bust started) . nice assortment of relics that was deffinately a busy area in late colonial times. looking toward seeing the finds when you go back.

I hope they plow up some of the fields there in the fall. Its hard on the ears running certain programs on the spectrum..its like a giger counter on steroids and you are trying to get a repeatable tone during the iron symphony. Persistence will pay off.
