We All Got A Copper!

Back to the fields and it feels so good! We got back to one of our favorite fields from last year, the beans were fresh cut and we were pleased to be out of the tall corn stubble of last year. Our friend Bill came along, he is a bit north of us and his fields were not yet cut so we gladly invited him along with us. Diane was the first to make a good find an 1841 Large Cent. About 10 minutes later I got this sweet sounding 12-45 signal and just knew it was good and I was right an 1831 Large Cent! Bill got an oil lamp burner but had no luck with coins. We then moved on to another field which was one of the very first we had hunted. Bill scored here with a lovely 1875 Indian. My best find was a 1941 One Franc Tunisian coin….what….in an Ohio bean field…but as I say you can find anything anywhere!

Nice finds with the coppers, Tony. Is that Franc from UAE? Have you figured out which county? Yes I know I am in front of a computer and could easily search.. That part has not escaped me.

Very nice Tony & Diane , the braided hair copper is in pretty good shape and the foreign silver coin is an unusual recovery !
