We Had A Good Year (pic heavy)

This past year was a very good year for us. We had a lot of firsts, finding more Large Cents and Indian Heads in any previous year. Diane had several personal firsts, Flying Eagle, Half Dime, Two Cent piece amongst them. Our silver finds were not large, typically we hunt fields primarily as our main focus. Our hunting partner Doug was gone quite a bit this summer so we did not get out as much on door knocking this year. Several new field sites turned out to be very good to us.

For those that have not seen our videos here is my main hunting partner, my sweet wife Diane!

Here is our silver finds of the year.

Diane’s Half Dime.

Two of my silver finds were nice first an 1888 Canadian Half Dime sometimes called a “Fish Scale”.

The other is a beautiful 1918-S Standing Liberty Quarter in fantastic condition!

I found one gold ring this year two silver and a silver chain.

This beauty is an older style.

Here are our Coppers with a few individual shots as well.

We had a record year for buttons as well including Civil War and early flat buttons as well as some nice gilt buttons too. Many ornate suspender buckles and some Civil War items including knapsack hook and model 1863 Cavalry Bit Boss.

Many other items as well that are typical old house and field finds here in Ohio.

Spectacular finds and wonderful photos, Tony! The average age of your finds is certainly older than what we find here in Illinois. You are fortunate to be able to hunt in an area where there are so many large cents in the fields. Even the marbles are older!

Diane had some terrific firsts too!

Congrats on the great year that you guys had, and I'm really looking forward to seeing your finds in 2015! :thumbsup02:

Tony, your finds are wonderful but I have to say...what I envy most is that you share the hobby with your wife. That is special! Congrats on another great year (together). :notworthy:

I like these year in review posts, give me a chance to say thank you for being here on AD. You and Diane had some great finds this year.
I never knew what the two of you would be posting. Looking forward to your videos and best of luck in 2015.

Thanks for posting. Always enjoy reading your posts, and quite some impressive finds you have there! Really interested in the no date LC. Just seems weird with the coin in such good shape and no date. Something done intentionally way back when? Any thoughts?
