I got a late start Saturday. I met up with Mike (Silverstar) & Rob (Tech125). They were hunting in a town not too far away. Mike said between the 2 of them they already had 5 silver and and some wheats. ::huh::
I said I'm on my way! lol
I didn't find any silver coins. But I did manage a little silver bling! |:cheering:
I got this nice little sterling Ring. And a sterling silver heart shaped pendent! :groovy:
The sterling stamps. thumbsup01
Today Ted and I went and checked out a place we've been doing some reserch on. While we were there we got to talking to a old timer and it turns out we were looking in the wrong spot
:thinkingabout: Kind of. The oldest part of the property (which probably holds the older goodies) is now private property. 8/ And the public part we were hunting only dates back to the early 70's
With the sun starting to head towards the horizon we packed up and split. Driving through the first town we came to, we drove around till we found a old school. It dates back to the 30's. So we decided to give it a shot for the last couple of hours of light. I went right for the front sidewall. My second hole was a 1944 silver Washington quarter! <: Only my second silver quarter this year!
The very next hole was this Goetz H -10 Telephone Token! thumbsup01
Here's the other side. It has a H with a arrow going through it.
I also found this Franklin D. Roosevelt & John N Garner campaign pin!
Made by the Green Duck Co. Chicago (Marked on the back)
Before the sun set I was able to bag a couple of Mercs 1924 & 1943 and 7 wheats to round out a nice weekend of swingin'!! |:cheering:
Thanks for lookin' & HH ! :groovy:
