Whats the better all-round coil?

Thanks again for the help, guys. I can get things knowing that they will be effective for my detector, and not waste my money. Although, spending 60 - 80 dollars on a narrow gardeners shovel seems a bit extreme. Couldn't I weld a T handleextension on my german army issue shovel and have a good tool? I'm kinda handy like that.

Just go to TSC and buy one of the small Chinese spade shovels for $5 and modify it. I did.

Just narrow it up, leaving the tread width.
You can even add serrations on one edge with an angle grinder if you wish.

I hope so. Maybe we can meet up in Sterling when I make my trip to the cemetery to plant flowers at the family plot (usually around Father's day). How close to the Sterling/Standish area are you?
