cool photos Dave , just look at all those coil windings bet it was very interesting to see the different types (double D's , concentric) compared to the older coil windings .

yes it was amazing.the coil wraps are done by hand.i don't think i'd have the patience to sit at that machine and hand wind those.

Thanks for photos, Dave. Saw them on the bookface, too, afterward. If you think those are bad, you should see the transformers they made for the older helo flight computers that I work on. Wound by hand and then potted and part marked. Heavy too. Same with the 747-400 AMS controllers. The YouTube video cut you off. Didn't get to hear much from either of you.
