William III & KGII

Robert Steponaitis

DetectingCT
Invited Dave Wise & Todd Hiltz up to do some hunting at a cellar hole that I had researched over the week. We hiked our butts off getting to the first site but it was worth it! There I found my oldest coin, a toasty William III, and also a 1744 King George II. Also got a 3 buttons, two tombacs, and one early 1700's button with a drilled shank.

Nice finds. That KG almost looks clipped. Odd way to do so. Nothing wrong with being able to ID a copper that old.
