Here's my finds cleaned up from the field hunt with GKMan

I did well for my first U.S. hunt this year. I started with a draped bust 02 and two other coppers without dates. Lots of buttons on this site. Gary's
NY button was the bell of the ball. Good fun good company.

you did very well Todd (even for your first U.S. hunt) keep hitting that field and you'll probably nabb one of your own excelsior buttons (there were many on a uniform) .

I'd still be happy walking away with three coppers and a bunch of buttons, even if the person I got out with had just a tad more and an excelsior. Good luck with that field. I've never been out with a group where that much gets pulled. Makes you think there could be a lot of finds at places, but it must mean they are mostly masked by surface trash.
