Quantity over quality

Got in some good detecting time this weekend, mostly stuck to tot lots hoping to pad my clad numbers a bit and maybe score some gold. No luck in the gold department but I did alright with the clad. Total for the weekend was 279 coins worth $22.28. No keepers to speak of which is a little disappointing but I had fun regardless. Granted, I had more fun last weekend, going after the oldies with Catskillcomics, but freezing temps and soaked earth were enough to keep mre from chasing silver this weekend.

Happy hunting!

Wow, that is a alot of clad :clapping: It seems like those kids just dump their coin jars in those tot lots.

Some serious clad you've got going on there! :clapping:

Congrats. Dare I ask what you clad count is this year?

I really would like to know how many holes you have dug in 2010 :shocked04: A ton of clad, you must have several hundred dollars' worth just from the last few months alone thumbsup01

Around 8,000 coins so far not counting wheats & older nickels, silver, and foreign coins (about 375 total). I'm not far behind for my second best year in terms of coin total, but I'll likely stay stuck in third in terms of value. Penny finds as a percent are up about 1% this year.

From the land of the Bluenose...congrats on getting out and getting quota. Good thing about this hobby is that one can hunt relics, clad or go after the old stuff...all a blast!
