hey Vexanie the first ones rarely are  the important thing was did you have fun finding them if yes is the answer , then thats all that matters . :happydance01: :happydance01: it can get real addicting though so be warned. lol lol and congrats on the first finds thumbsup01

Nice job! Im sure you will start to find more. My first coin ever was a 1962 Lincoln cent in my front yard. I have only been at it for about 1 year. First silver was a 1942 Mercury dime. thumbsup01

I agree 100% thumbsup01 Having fun is what its all about. Finding anything is a bonus. You did good for the first time out. Cant wait to hear from you when you find your first silver or gold!! Good hunt Vexanie :clapping:

It's definitely about having a bunch of fun, you were far from getting skunked! I'd say you had a good hunt thumbsup01

Great way to start Vexanie! :clapping:

You found a little of everything. My first hunt wasn't near as successful as yours. I found more junk than anything else.

Looks like you are getting the hang of it pretty quickly.

Good luck on your next hunt. thumbsup01

We all started out with finds like yours, the more time spent tecting the better your finds will get...it is not about how much or what you find as much as it is how much fun you had looking for it...when starting out everything you dig is a first, you want a wheaty, then silver anything, then rings, and the list just keeps growing...Learn your machine and don't over look locations to find the old stuff, all the best on your future hunts, can't wait till you do the Ring Happy Dance :happydance01: ,Dave

That is a very good start. You are on your way, and you will get better and better. It will not be long before you find a wheatie and a silver coin, and then you will really be hooked. I remember how thrilled I was to unearth my first coin. It was just a clad dime, but I was happy with it. I hope you enjoy your new hobby as much as I have.

sunshine on your face, fresh air in the lungs and not knowing what treasures the next plug will bring..........priceless!!!!!

My first find was a pull tab, first coin find was a Memorial Cent. lol That was around 1971ish. So that is all it took for me to be hooked on detecting lol With those finds you are already hooked  It is the best hobby in the world and I hope you will enjoy it as much as the rest of us do. :clapping:

Any find is a good find. <:

Unless your looking for something specific like someones lost ring, you really can't plan what to find - so finding something is awesome! thumbsup01
