1 Fairgrounds silvers & 2 new friends

Headed off to the fairgrounds today. I decided today I'd poke around in some new spots, but nothing was panning out. So, towards the last 1/2 hour of the hunt I went back to the spot I was getting lots of wheaties yesterday.. hit a nice target at 6 , a 1902-O Barber dime.. very worn but I'll take it. Rounding the bend toward 60 silvers for the year..
Anyways, while hunting a couple gals that work there came up to me and inquired about my finds.. they were surprised at knowing silver coins were still there as they said lots of folks of hit the place.
Long story short, 1 gal got a new Metal detector and is having a hard time figuring it out.. so we are meeting on Monday.. I'll help her out with the machine, she'll bring the old photos of when the fairgrounds was a farm and show me where all the houses and barns use to sit.. HOO HAA!! Sounds like a great deal to me.

Love the Barber! thumbsup01 It sounds like you will soon have a shot at some more old silver.

nice barber Scott , hope the new intel on that site proves to be very productive.

Really, how hard can it be... I'll just tell her to point the thing to ground , swing it back and forth, if she hears a beep, then dig it lol
my part is done.. hand over the pics.. lol

Ahh, such dedication lol Now watch her dig a seated quarter in the first half hour lol

Actually, she was tell me about them tearing down an old hamburger stand at the fairgrounds.. she pulled up a floor board to find an 1895 Barber quarter staring at her.. so you're probably right about the seated dime..

Sweet dig Scott, and best of luck with the task at hand  Maybe some of her beginners luck will rub off on you :)
