1725 Spanish Reale King Phillip V

I was finally able to get out and try my new E-trac today. Did not find a whole lot, but I think I made up for it in substance. One flat button, one pistol ball and one Spanish Reale, or rather change for a Spanish Reale... lol. Ohe yeah and the Mason Jar that dates to the 1920's I think.

Not a 1734 Half Penny but a Richard Hurd half penny 1814 ...LOL

I found this Half Penny in the vicinity of Camden, NC. It's about the size of a Half Dollar. It has a picture of a sailing ship on the front and it says Half Penny London. The reverse has someones initials in script surrounded by maybe oak leaves...In pretty bad shape and the only number in the...

    Union Navy

I found this button, of all places , in Raleigh, NC. It was close to several Antebellum homes. I believe it is Union Navy, but yet again I'm not sure? The button measures 3/4 in Dia. The makers mark is Gem & Co. N.Y. or Gemsco, N.Y. My book has a few similar, but not exact.

    US Cavalry

I found this pi.ece here in Concord, NC. It was in front of a house dating back to 1822 and a county line marker was in front of the house that was dated March, 1805 :shocked04:. Pretty old for us in Concord... lol. They have since planted a CVS pharmacy in it place... :ticked:. I think this is...

Modest finds from James Island, SC

Just a couple of pieces I found in SC about a year or so ago. The pistol ball that I found in the wood drove me crazy. I finally realized that it was in the wood I was bouncing from one side of the hole to the other :bangahead01:.... lol. There is also a piece of lead there that I am not sure...

    Masonic Button:huh:

I found this button a while back and have yet to find it in any referance books or on line. Just wondering if anyone could identify it. I looks like the square and compass of the Masons on the top, but just now sure. I believe it dates to the late 1700 early 1800's. :-\. Any thoughts?

    Minelab E-Trac or Whites V3

I would like to get some opinions on these two detectors. If you were going to buy a new high end detector, which would it be. I have been detecting since I was 13 and I am now 40 so I have some experience. I started out way back when with the Whites 4000 then the XLT, then the DFX, then the...
