My buddy and I headed out after work and spend almost 4 hours swinging. In the first 30 minutes he found a KG III, a large cent and an Indian. After 3 hours he had 5 coins...and I had a bunch of buttons. Buttons are nice, but I love the old coins lol. As we were working our way back to the...

1745 ?? Can anyone help identify

I found this coin today, I thought it was another King George II Farthing. However, the date is on the rear at the bottom in small print which is different that my other coin. Also, there seems to be a T then an A on the side left of rear. Here is a photo of the coin and I highlighted some...

King William III or George III ?

Thanks! It was an amazing 3 days. I think it's an 1807 King George III. The nose lines up better and when you rotate the coin, you can see the shield and the word stands out. The hole threw me off, I thought it would be near the top on both sides.

King William III or George III ?

I found another great coin today, a King William III or George III I believe. I'm not sure exactly which one as the front detail on the face isn't that great and the back is hard to make out. I'll post weight and measurement soon. Can anyone identify?

    Hello from New Jersey!

Spent a couple of hours with my new AT Pro today. Really enjoyed the day and learning which signals I should dig and which ones I shouldn't. Found a whopping 12 cents! lol The oldest coin being a 1970 nickel. Nickel ---------------- 1970 Penny ---------------- 1975 1981 1982 1989 1994 2015 x2

    Hello from New Jersey!

Hi everyone, I live in South Jersey and I am new to the hobby. I just bought an AT Pro and I plan to detect at the beach to get started. I have more of an interest in finding old coins, anyone have suggestions on where to focus? Thanks and I look forward to getting to know everyone. Ken
