After yesterday's hunt I couldn't wait to hit the same site again, so this afternoon I drove up there and finished the section I had been working. From there I picked up a few wheat cents and a silver Roosevelt dime. After working that area for a while I wandered off to another section, and from there I dug up a few more wheat cents, a mercury dime, three Indian Head cents, a 1865 2-Cent piece, and a King George II copper. Not as great a hunt as my previous one, but just as fun.
The silver and Indian Head cents.
Here are the Indian Head cents after cleaning them up.
The 2-Cent piece cleaned up well, though it still has a green crusted area on the obverse.
The King George II copper. It's in poor shape. Wondering, I took a closer look at yesterday's CT Copper, and it turns out that I misidentified the coin (not the first time I do such when rushing). :embarrassed: So the one from yesterday is also another King George copper.
I also dug up three old buttons.
