Hey everyone ! I got out this weekend for two hunts , yesterday not so good today was great ! Yesterday I hunted with my friend Ryan at a local soccer field . My best find was my first hole dug . I had a +2 at 3 inches and was hopping for gold . Well I'm not sure what I have . It's a small ear ring with one large stone and 5 small ones . It has 925 on the stem but the main part has no marks but tested 10K gold .
As for this morning My son Carson and I hunted with my friend Kevin from Lake Tahoe at a local school . My son had the first great find only 15 minutes in ! It was his 2nd ever silver quarter ! It's a worn 1942D and man was he happy ! It took me about an hour to find the goods . I had a +80 at 2 inches , a silver pendent with the name Samar on it . Then the big find of the day came about a half hour later . I had a +32 at one inch and when the dirt came out so did gold ! It's a (750 ) 18K gold wedding band ! It weighs 4.7 grams , not bad . Also found two junk rings bringing my ring total to #152 for the year . Total clad for both hunts was $10.67 . thumbsup01

Awsome finds! That is a sweet score on the 18k wedding band...gold at $1730 an ounce at 4.7 grm is a nice pay day :congrats:

Look at the smile on your sons face...priceless. :congrats: on the rings and again a huge clad count. I have to ask, about how many targets on average do you dig per hunt?

[size=24pt]BIG CONGRATS for Carson on that Washington quarter.

And you didn't do too bad either. rofl
Great gold band and silver too! That kinda hunt will help cover the costs of the hobby.

This would be a guess . I think between 250 to 300 .
