Found this last weekend and figured I'd share. :) My best relic in a while!

It cleaned up really nice! (And I'm still working on it) I can't believe the entire pin is intact. :shocked04:

Found it around and old house that a lot of goodies came out of.

Seems like they are fairly scarce too and go for about 20 bucks on eBay (Not that I would ever sell!)

That badge is an incredible find, JD! I've never seen one like it on the forums. It came out of the ground in beautiful condition too!

It looks great on the banner too. :thumbsup01:

:congrats:

Wow! That is a special find! Was it near the front door? Congrats!

Thanks everyone! Actually it was under a shade tree in the middle of the yard. So if the census worker dropped it there he didn't use the proper footpath. There were A LOT of finds under the tree including a merc, buffalo, several wheats, an indian head (found by hunting buddy) among other things. We called it the giving tree.

It is a great looking find JD ,congrats on a sweet looking relic and so wonderfully preserved too. :perfect10:

Hey JD! That's an awesome find there, as others said it came out from the ground in impeccable shape! Really cool video too, I subbed you a long time ago and really enjoy your videos ...

Never seen one of those!
Great find!
Congrats!
I'd rather find a unique relic like that, than 2 pocketfuls of clad! :thumbsup01:

Maybe it was a hot day and just stopped and sat under the tree. Maybe he lost his change there too? Or people in the house has a few picnics there or the kids climbing the tree. Nice find tho. It's def unique and I am sure the earphones were blaring. Any intention to clean it a bit with an old toothbrush?

Thats a great find...I think?? I'd be happy to have that in my display case thats for sure. It just looks so " Traditionally American" (To an Englishman it does anyhow) :) Who would have worn such a badge and what does it signify/mean? I see it only shows 18 stars? Does that mean anything? Or is it simply "decoration"?...Sorry for sounding stupid..I'm English and therefore have every right to appear so. I'm now off to read the Financial Times, marvel at the fact that dental hygiene has risen to such great heights, whilst listening to 3 young ladies playing Cellos. :D
