3rd ring of the year

[Cheap Thrills]

I've been extremely busy lately but I managed to get out for 3 hrs. today . <: Took the Dog and
hit one of the neaby spots I've been pounding to death . I decided I'd try a hillside that I really hadn't hunted too much before . I figured it had to be good for at least a silver Rosie . Nope , no silver coins or wheats at all but a 925 Tiffany + Company ring , a pouchfull of trash , a wasted toy truck , 38 cents in clad , some type of copper clad coin or token that started crumbling in my hand , an aluminum tag from a rose plant and a piece of thin stamped copper jewelry that was supposed to represent an old style coin . Oh yes and the bird nest which the grandkids thought was the coolest find. |:cheering: Look's like that truck is leaking oil too . lol The silver coins have been far and few between but in comparison it's been a good jewelry year for me so far . :yes:

A top of the line ring, glad you were able to recover it. Someday the grandkids will start to appreciate the rings and not the birds nest. For the time being though, great they can participate in this great hobby.

Thanks for all the nice comments guys . It surprises me that so far this year , my good jewelry finds are the same number as my silver coin finds (4) .

Actually , I brought the nest home in one of the spare plastic dog doodie bags I carry and the grandkids saw it later when they came over for dinner . Both Grandkids have gone detecting with me before though and have shown interest in it (especially my Grandaughter) . She has said when I grow up I want to be a gold digger just like Grandpa . lol
