Got out with Todd to another deep site.alot of nice targets.ended up with 4 coppers.one nice shoe buckle frame,a knee buckle and a bunch of shoe and knee buckle pieces.
4 coppers one is toasted.the other 2-3 look like KG II's,one possibly a CT copper? the brass tube that's broke I'm pretty sure is a rev war field writing instrument.i've seen 2 people that dug these and they confirmed this is what it is also some buttons as well
Gotta get back to a few sites when the ferns are dead.
yesterday I hit a older yard and came away with a nice sterling ring,8 wheaties & a bunch of clad

Nice digs! That writing implement is a very cool find :thumbsup01: Some great looking buckles and buttons were the icing on the cake to the 4 coppers.

Wow. What a haul. If I'm looking at that one coin right, does it say 1745?? Great hunt :thumbsup02:

Wow is that a boatload of finds, looks like a lot of digging! Congrats on such wonderful finds ....I just love that stuff!

:huh:A 4 copper day? :duh: I've never even had a 4 copper year! :envious:
I need to get out east and hunt some cellar holes one of these ..... years.
Nice finds Dave!
Congrats!

As always, some really neat stuff. Always nice to go out and pull a bunch of buttons, buckles and coppers. Nice going!

Very nice two days Dave. Good to mix it up a bit too. You probably welcomed the clean and openness of the yard after swinging through the brush and dealing with bugs at the old cellar holes. That heart-shaped thing with the word "TAG" on it...quite large. What made you decide to dig that one?

Nice assortment of finds Dave. If anyone ever wants to see what we get at cellar holes....show them that picture  Nice KG's too!

Nice finds. One coin looks like 1745. The ring is VERY nice. Does the hallmark say sterling? Also liked the TAG piece. I wonder what it was from? HH, Dave.

It looks to me like you could start your own museum with all the cool relics you find.
Congrats on the Coppers. Great Job

As much as I like to see your coppers, today they are taking a backseat to the rev war writing instrument. Nice assortment of finds

:congrats:
