Got out with Todd today.I took him up to 2 sites I was at when I was a rookie at cellar holes.
My 1st target was a horse shoe.whenever i dig a horse shoe I always end up havin a good day.Today i dug 3 horseshoes . a 1806 draped bust half cent,a shot braided hair LC,a nice 1839 Lc and a toasted fatty IH at the 1st site.the back mark on the one piece gilted button is Hopkins & Smith,3 zuoave ball buttons.a broken keg tap and pieces of a large crotal bell.

the 2nd site didn't give up much except a 1845-1849 James K.Polk 2 piece presidential medalet.

I'd say you had a good day!
Cellar hole hunting around here is seldom anywhere near that good. Way to go!

Wow that is a great collection of finds! How rare is that Polk medal? I can't recall ever seeing another one dug.

Real nice hunt Dave :clapping: That Polk medal is cool looking. Never seen one before. You did well today

I dug a Zachary Taylor Medalet almost like this quite a few years ago at the Scovill's residence up the street from me

WTG Dave! Was a nice weekend to be out. thumbsup01

I'm still in the slump :crying02: Went back to my virgin site yesterday & got Nada.

Looks like I'm done with that place until the spring when the ground is nice and wet to see what is down deeper.

Some great finds...That croatal must have been HUGE when it was all together. Love the medal :loveit: great piece of history

Dave, the 1839 cleaned up nice. To bad the 1/2 cent is shot :-\ but that medalet is cool as hell. What did you make of the L pin?
