A couple of rosettes and a DB copper

Lodge Scent

Didn't think I was going to be able to get out today but I was up with the chickens so I was able to squeeze in a few hours of coil time. I hit a spot that I thought might be hiding a cellar hole but it turned out to be an old stock pen and pasture complex probably associated with one of the old houses near the road.

The site was fairly open. Easy to swing a coil for a change.

Pulled quite a bit of trash and a few goodies.

A little while after a major fake out on the glass dome rosette, I pulled a deep 1803 Draped Bust.

One of the rosettes has a glass dome with a flower painted under it and the other has a dog etched into it. I couldn't make it out until I put some powder on it.

I actually found a nickel today. For some reason I hardly find nickels. When I dug it up I didn't know what it was at first. I was thinking it was a little small for a farthing or halfcent. It was just a Jefferson but I will take it.

Great bunch of finds you got there, cool rosettes and nice draped bust :thumbsup02:

Man you're up when I am. I looked at that coin and first thought flowing hair  Must be weird rosette weekend. I found one with a lead ball in the center. Nicely done Jeff.

Okay, I must admit I misread your title. I now realize that DB Copper = Draped Bust Copper. I read it as "DB Cooper" (the famous hijacker)! Anyway, great finds! HH, Dave.
