A little morning silver and afternoon gold

My brother was a little under the weather yesterday and wanted to sleep in this morning before we headed to a local lake. Since I couldnt stand to see the early morning slip away, I headed to a park in town and managed a few wheats and a lone merc to keep me from being silverless for the day. We loaded up the gear and got to the lake about noon. After about an hour my brother said he had enough. I dont really think he was quite up to par today and was more or less just going through the motions. I told him alright, just give me a few more minutes and boy, Im glad I did! Not 20 feet from where I said that, I got a very solid 13-08 and from my second scoop falls this nice 14k ring. Made for a nice ride home <:......although my brother didnt think so \:[

Silver and GOLD sure makes for a great hunt. If only your brother had found them I'll bet he would have felt better. :congrats: on those keepers.

Congrats on the silver and gold!

It looks like the ring has a date inscribed on the inside of it. 9-14 Does it have a year?

Great finds! :clapping:

Score!! <:
A day filled with a Merc and Gold is top shelf in my book. :peace:

The 'few more minutes' paid off! thumbsup01

Tony,the year was '89
Joe, the ironic thing is, I took up where my brother decided to call it a day.Thats when I told him to give me a few more minutes. If he would have continued on his path, I have no doubt he would've nailed the ring. I felt a little bad when I showed him the ring, I dug it twenty feet from where he quit. But I got over it real quick lol

both of the gold wedding bands i found had artcarved on the inside of the band as well it must be the makers brand. great finds !!!
