A Seated From Golden Gate Park Last Week!

Was able to get out with a friend, Alex today just before the rains and during the incredible percussion gathering at Hippie Hill. Actually, they are pretty good. Tons of drums, a trumpet, flutes and whatever else floats their boat is in GGP on Saturdays  The food giveaway is a big success, with many folks lined up to eat...Whatever it is? I was hungry, but didn't get in line.

Alex and I hunted for hours, finding lots of clad, but no silver. Finally, I got a pretty good signal with the E-Trac at about 9 inches, and found a really nice Seated Dime...1884S. I will take it. He really skunked me last Saturday with his 7 silvers
What a place that is in Golden Gate Park, but there's stuff there...I think.
Thanks for looking.

Nice Seated coin Tom. A very respectable depth on it too. Did it come in iffy or was it showing 12-45, 12-46 fairly solid? I think there are probably more coins at that depth. Most machines won't give a diggable signal at those depths for a small object like a dime. Throw in a bit of rust or junk nearby and many machines won't even chirp at those depths. Congrats on pulling somethin good, that deep. thumbsup01

Wow! very nice. That's got to feel good. Congratulations on the find. Sounds like you have captured the E-Trac magic.

Keep Swing'in
Jack

I really don't pay any attention to what it reads...I look at the depth, and if it sounds good at 90 degrees, I dig
Thanks,
Tom

Thanks Guys...Tomorrow is another day with the Drums, and hopefully another Seated

Golen Gate Park is another one of those heavily hunted areas. There were a lot of rings from the early 1900s found in the west side of the park from the great fire of SF. Good Luck, HH

Looking forward to seeing what you found on Saturday!

Btw, I was born there in SF back in 1968- my mom and dad were them there hippies playing the flutes and drums back then lol Seriously, we lived in Haight-Ashbury district...

Yep that's pretty much hippie blood in ya. You are 100 % Hippie. I wonder if you can start a casino?

Ron...That was great. I haven't heard that great song in years. Perfect timing.
Thanks All.
