Back to the Old fairgrounds - Silver

My folks left Monday mid-morning, and decided to take advantage of the nice day and went to the old fairgrounds across the river to see if I could squeeze out a few more silvers..
Since the fair was just earlier this month the grounds were extremely hard, but I did manage to pick up a few things despite the hard digging.
Picked up about $5 in quarters, 1918 Merc, 1945 Merc, 1961 rosie, Silver flower pendant, and finally an Indian Head which is very corroded.
I'll be heading back out there again today....

Nice finds. I'll be posting in the cleaning finds portion what I use to clean up cents like that, so be looking for that post. The example I'm going to use is still undergoing the process, so I'll be posting before and after. Though the cent I'm using wasn't that bad, but I have used it on cents that were.

Great hunt.

Nice job on adding more silver to your collection.

I'm definitely interested in reading about your cleaning process.

Congrats.

Very jealous of you! I can't find time to hunt, even though I'm on vacation from my main job. Glad to see you are pulling silver, keep it up!

Be sure to post any more photos to make me more envious!

Gorgeous 1918 Mercury. A newly minted and dropped coin for sure!!! But that is one ugly Indian lol You can't hurt it any more by cleaning it ;) Great hunt and you're cranking up the pressure on Aaron :clapping: lol
