Met up with Al Sunday morning. We hit a new spot we haven't been too before. It looked ideal, BUT...lots o trash and nothing but modern clad >:\ We didn't have much time before Al had to go, so we went back to the place that has really been producing for us.
I started in an area I hadn't been in yet hoping for some great finds...nothing but clad....I worked my way around...after a few hours, all I had was some clad and 2 wheats >:\...then Al walks over and shows me that awsome peridot ring :shocked03:...then he heads out....apparently he was bringing me bad luck rofl....within a few mins. I score a merc. I work the area and get a few more wheats, I worked my way around to an area I've worked over both ways twice...but we've had some rain and digging was better and signals were coming up.
I got a hit at 12/44 about 5 inches. I cut a deep plug and pull it out :shocked03:...On the side of the plug was an 1918 S Walking Half <: :happydance01: happydance02
eace:...I'm lucky I didn't scratch it! It was on end. A half step a wheat came up, a full step after that a 1911 Barber dime happydance02. I kept working the area, 12/47....religious medal....12/46...silver cub scout ring.... a bit later 12/45...and there's my silver Roosie...and my dime trifecta!....all in 1 1/2 hrs of Al leaving lol
