OxShoeDrew and myself got out for a three hour tour. lol We headed to some spots that Drew had in mind, we drove past them looking for a spot to turn around. As we drove past them I noticed a cellar hole off to our right. Drew said hey that one's not on the maps. So we parked the car and off we went. It took just about ten minutes to locate the first target. I said, I got a nice little flat button and he said I got one to. So within the first ten minutes we both had a flat button in our hands. Mine has a nice little eagle on the back mark with some stars. As Drew dissapeared into the woods I stayed around the hole taking my time going slow, I got a nice repeatable signal about five inches down cut the plug and got my first draped bust. 1802. Upon returning from the woods Drew says I got a largie I said me to. This was the first time hunting together that we each got coppers in the same hunt. I also found a pocket spill of blue buttons. Pants?
We left that hole shortly after to head down the road to another site. This site was over grown and will be a nice spot to hit in the fall or winter. My only find was this nice IH 1872 semi key date. The cool looking ring, the other flat buttons and the hooky thing was from a hunt a couple days ago Also with the Ox man. On a final note, just as we were about to leave the second site today we heard what sounded like a pack of something in the woods very close to where we just were. Howling ,barking and making all kinds of noises. Sounded like there were many of whatever it was out there. I wanted to go and see what the comotion was all about but when I turned to look at Drew all I saw was his fanny pack bouncing from running so fast, like when you see a deer running you just see the tail :poke:
We had a great short hunt today and the fact that we both found coppers in the same hunt made it especially nice. Thanks for looking. HH

Rob the ring was deep to. 7 inches. It's not gold, looks to have been possibly silver plated. Very thin and the head looks to be gold gilt copper, it's an odd little piece. Thanks

hey guys congrats on the coins , very cool ring Brandon .. it almost looks military or patriotic :smitten: . hey was it around dusk when you heard the coyotes ?? George and i hear them a lot around then , it is erie as they can be heard just a ways a away and they almost sound like small childeren laughing when they communicate with each other.

:congrats: on the draped and the semi key IH. Keep in mind that you only have run faster than the slowest person in you party.

Congrats on the Draped Bust Brandon.
