Dug a wallet!

Went to a local park yesterday and got a strong penny signal at 7 inches. I thought it may be an old Wheatie so I dug. When I got down 7 inches I saw bright blue plastic at the bottom of the hole. My Sunray X-1 probe was going crazy. It was a lady's wallet! <: I pulled it out as careful as I could and pieces started to fall off so I lifted it right into my pouch without opening it up. When I got it home I layed it out on the counter and started to open it. All the paperwork and pictures were ruined from moisture. In the change pocket was 9 bright green Wheat pennies. :clapping: The newest is 1955. I have not cleaned them yet. This must have been in the ground almost 60 years. I also found a 1947 Rosie, a 1925 Merc and 2 more Wheats nearby. Sorry no pictures again but I am working on that.

Very cool. <: I've always hoped to dig an old wallet/coin purse.
Definitely would be fun to open it and see what's inside.
A big congrats to you. :clapping:

That is one thing that I've always wanted to do, find that old purse/change purse and savor the moment before looking in it.

Congrats on getting that purse and the silvers.
