I figured if i left early, i could squeeze some time in up north before the family thanksgiving dinner, and look what I found!!!! 1st i checked I high school football field which the building looked brand new but i figured some modern silver rings would be a nice touch.... I ended up yanking out 3 wheat pennies from the 1940's, a US pin, a knights of Columbus pendant, and a 1948 10k gold class ring!!! It has no name and its missing the top jewel or whatever was welded onto it. I Wasn't expecting that one! So then I searched a park in town and a flood covered the real soil with 4 inches of sand so it was tough going. I did manage to find a merc there so i was pretty happy about that. I than was heading home and decided to stop at ______falls, wisconsin to check out their high school football field. They had the middle school field and a nice high school football field right next to each other and i used common logic and went to the middle school field thinking that was the original field. WAMBAM! Silver ring was the 1st find! Then a wheat penny!, then Shizam! a 1962 Rosie, not to far behind I got another silver war nickel! #4 for the year and all within a week. As I was heading out, i plucked the cool South American skull pendant from the sidelines of the field. Happy hunting everyone! I hope you all had a good thanksgiving too.
