It's my wife's fault!

My wife was slightly upset yesterday when i went to the old iceskating park later in the day and wasn't back before dark. I didn't take my cell phone so she couldn't call me. So today i decided to hit the little park in town that i found the barber quarter at. I found a dime then a penny then a quarter. On about my third pass from front to back of the grassy area near the fence and by a big tree i found a 1957-D wheat penny. Well, i thought to myself where there's wheat there's silver ( i heard that somewhere it's not something i thought up). And part way through the next pass i got my second SLQ. A 1920 that only the zero is not mostly worn away. I stayed long enough to find a nickle and headed home.

Here's pics.........

 You know.......... I'm not sure but....she might like to take the blame for this one  :dontknow: lol
Or maybe your just glad you forgot your phone yesterday :dontknow: lol
Either way it worked out perfectly! thumbsup01 lol
Nice find!
Congrats

Great looking SLQ. That is a zero, and I would bet money that it is a 1920 since they started recessing the date in 1925. Great Hunt, and your wife can blame me any time. |) |)

What a gorgeous Standing Liberty Quarter! |)

I agree that it is most likely 1920 since it isn't really worn that much and the date doesn't appear to be recessed, so it couldn't be 1930.

Awesome! :clapping:

i take the phone with me and carry a spare dead batterie to put in it.when i get homeThen i tell her the batteries aren't worth a damn.Best of luck.
