Last Saturday's Finds. Oldest silver quarter for me

This week can not get over fast enough... (hopefully the Myans aren't right though ). Last Satruday 12/15 I got out to a field I recently got permission for and was going to wait to the spring before going there, but the weather was nice (for December) and the wife and daughter were busy baking Christmas cookies. Anyways the field is small and between two 19th Century farm houses located on the Hudson River. The owner said the she and her kids have found musketballs and buttons in the past. I had a decent day with 3 musketballs, 2 wheaties, clad Dime and my oldest US Silver Quarter a 1893 Barbe. Along with a pouch full of trash, including at least 20 Pepsi Screw caps. You would think one of them could have been a button...

I would gladly trade 20 Pepsi tops for that Barber, it looks great. :congrats: on finding that and I hope in the spring you can find more.

Awesome Barber Quarter, Chief! It doesn't have much wear on it either, it must have been fairly new when dropped.

Great find! :clapping:

Thanks guys! Hoping for another shot at it on Saturday although today's rain will probably make it way to muddy
