Love old copper's And with all the experienced hunters on this forum I know you've found some beauties over the years. please post some pics for me to drool over. Thanks coop here's a few of mine
Drooling, drip drip! Drooling, drip drip! :envious: I would love to find one of those, but I think it aint going to happen. But, I am happy for all that have found them. Lets see those pic's!
Here are a few of mine. I just wish most of the ones I have found had held up as well as these. Last year I picked up four Draped Bust large cents in a coin spill, with two of them dated 1797, but the soil and time wasn't kind to them.
The first photo is of a rare 1786 Connecticut copper, Miller 5.7-H.1.
I've got about 16 coppers but they are no way near a pretty as the pictures posted, so I wont be posting any pictures. I've got to say that all of the posted coppers here are just fantastic and I sure would like to get one in the shape that these are in. Come on everybody, start posting up your pictures
How about telling us all how you go about cleaning them
I must tell you that Illinois Coppers don't fare much better! The fertilizers in our cornfields are just murder on them. Here are mine (all found since I got my e-trac). Enjoy! Dave.
I found this 1820 LC next to a stone house built in 1790. I think it might be my all-time favorite hunt It was so far out in the country, a neat old building and my oldest coin thus far.
Well, I might as well show off my other copper because I've only found 2 of them lol My first one, an 1833, really sparked my passion for metal detecting. Check out the site- it's really neat, kinda creepy looking isn't it? :shocked04: Yes I usually hunt there with other people
