It's not a coin but a neat relic, it's a G.A.R. Medallion, I also got 4 wheats, $1.56 change, couple marbles(eyeball finds), buckle, rifle bullet, small flat button and some odds and ends.

I was reading up on the G.A.R. medals and they were actually made from bronze melted from Confederate cannons according to what I read on the internet but don't mark my word cause you can't believe everything you read on the internet.

Way cool find on the GAR medal! A nice addition to your collection Giant. You find some really neat stuff in the woods and around old houses.

Thanks for all the great replies everyone thumbsup01 I always find neat military paraphernalia in the cereal city and it's only about a 20 miles so it's not something I do every day but always fun going there and exploring new sites and old.
