My Best for 2012

Here I am with the day off, way to much snow on the ground, so I rounded up some of my best.

Overall 2012 was pretty good to me, most silvers in a year (67), most wheats (294), most Barber coinage and some great relics.

I got my first key date, a 1884 Canadian Five cent, my 1st love token, the General Grant paperweight made by the Ames Co of Chicopee MA, a militia eagle hat plate, and the very early shoulder belt plate.

Hope everybody has a great 2013 and thanks for looking.

Funny how most of your best was when I was NOT around lol
But those 2 relics sure are both finds of a lifetime!

Al , you made some very historic discoveries . congrats on adding some great pieces to your displays sir :perfect10:

Al, what's the story on that Barber pendant? I don't remember seeing that. Did they smooth out the back and engrave it? Very nice year you had, I hope 2013 is just as good for you, Drew

That lover token was a huge surprise and you are welcome for the words of encouragement.

Hopefully I can be as lucky in 2013.

Yes that is what they did, smoothed the back and engraved the initial in it. The front is in great shape so I am assuming that it was lost very soon after it was made. They are called love tokens and was the last thing I expected to dig.

Thanks to everybody for all your kind words and looking forward to everybodies great finds in 2013.
