I forgot to take my camera with me- the place is beautiful and secretive in our community. Rich in history- 2 roads are named after this place... I will take my camera when I go back!

5 silvers! Mercs are 1917,1941D& 1944. The '48 washington and '44 merc were silver spill And 5 foreign coins! The 4 Italian coins were in the same hole- very exciting, they just kept popping out happydance02 All of the latter were 1922-1924. The previous owners travelled extensively. I love the British East Africa coin. By far my favorite :happydance01: I had fun taking various pics of my finds lol

:cheering: This is GOLD!!! Thick plated, but very heavy~ anyone know what it is? It is very intricately carved or stamped and looks hand done... I'm thinking maybe part of a cane handle or umbrella handle? Maybe an old fancy cork/ stopper...

Man that looks like it was a really fun hunt Tana !! As if five silvers including a SLQ wasn't enough, the foreign coins are a cool find !!

You know, I bet you are absolutely right Tim! I heard from the yard maintenance guys that the owner has a big trunk of stuff from East Africa... I'm hoping to get to know her and hear the history of the place in her own words.

I really like seeing those old dug foriegn coins. Nice bunch you got there... thanks for sharing. You spend a lot of time digging those coins, you take all the pictures you can. :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:

Score!!!! <:
What a fun assortment of awesome coinage. To make a great hunt even better,
you even pulled a SLQ. :shocked04: I just can't seem to find one of those.
Lots of nice silver. The foreign coins are sweet too.
That must have been one very fun hunt.
Congrats Tana. :clapping:

What a great day digging for you - thanks for all the pics for us.
The old guys here in the s west sometimes call your st lib quarter a cowboy quarter. If you turn the eagle upside down & hold your thumb over it's body then the wings resemble a pair of chaps.
Steve in so az

:shocked04: :shocked04: what a very sweet hunt Tana , love the foriegn coins especially the holed one with the beautiful patina :perfect10: the gold plated item is very intriguing , what does it look like underneath (is it threaded , smooth any wierd marks) congrats on a fine hunt .i'd be looking toward going back too. :smitten:

If it's not the end of a walking stick or cane, then maybe it's the end of a fancy curtain rod? :thinkingabout:

Excellent hunt Tana! :clapping: Where you hyperventilating? lol That's one of the things we go through when we have those types of hunts. lol Really nice! thumbsup01
