Got to do a little hunting with some friends this past weekend and scored my first Barber Quarter. I was hunting with the E-trac and found this quarter at an old location my friends took me too.

Yesterday I found this Button, which I am not a Relic hunter, so I didn't even know what I had found. I was and am still on cloud nine over the Barber, but all my friends are saying the button is a better find. I am sure you Relic hunters know the name of this button, I think it was called a Chicken Eagle Service Button. I guess I am going to be forced to learn about Relics lol This was found with my XP Deus

Dave

Sure is one nice looking Barber quarter, full liberty, :congrats: on your 1st. Nice looking button too. Great keepers

That Barber Quarter is GORGEOUS! :loveit:

Congrats on your first, it's a real beauty!

The button looks like a civil war era general service button.

Nice finds! :clapping:

how deep was the quarter?

It was maybe 2 inches deep max, laying face down. I was hunting an old ghost town covered up by a lake. The water level is way down right now due to this summers drought.

sweet looking Barber Dave , lve the 1900 date

the button is a general service ( coat size i believe ) but its post Civil War (from the eagle & shield design type) , most likely Indian Wars era . congrats on a couple of nice keepers :perfect10:
