My tumbler finds me an Andrew Jackson Button!

Over the last two months of hunting, I accumulated over 100 buttons and common colonial relics that I knew I would never find enough time to hand clean. I decided to put them in my tumbler to save hours of my time. I am glad I did because there were a couple of diamonds in the ruff...including an 1829 Andrew Jackson Inaugural button and an 1812 Artillery script button.

Todd, Mind cleaning some of my finds?? haha. Nice find/save with that Jackson button. Soon I will be starting the electrolysis project for the winter.

Great job on the cleaning Todd... it's nice to find out what things exactly are AFTER you clean them ;) I have found then basically "redound" items I had no idea were so special until I researched them or ID'd them. Great political and military buttons

Nice find Todd! I've been wanting to use a tumbler on finds other than clad. Its encouraging to see how nice your buttons came out. :thumbsup01:

WTG Todd on the surprises! I wonder why they decided to put that info on the inside of the Jackson button.

I ordered it online but I can't remember what site Tony

That media is readily available at Amazon. Do a search for Jewelers mix stainless steel shot. It Runs around $20 a pound. It is the same type of media that I use for coin rings but I had never thought of using it for relic type items.
